Coaching for Talent Development and Employee Engagement
Customized Coaching ProgramCoaching CoreCoaching for Performance, Situational Management, and Analyzing Performance are the core elements in Coaching for Talent Development and Employee Engagement.
Coaching for Performance is the core of Entelechy's Coaching for Talent Development and Employee Engagement Program. At the heart of Coaching for Performance is Entelechy's simple, yet extremely effective, coaching model. Situational Management is a key element in Coaching for Talent Development and Employee Engagement. Because coaching is most effective in specific performance management situations (and other performance management techniques such as corrective action are more effective in certain situations), it is important to learn to recognize which situations call for which performance management techniques. Analyzing Performance is a short but extremely important component in Coaching for Talent Development and Employee Engagement. Effective managers focus on performance as it is aligned with company, department, and team goals. Before we can coach — or manage performance in any fashion — we need to analyze the performance of an employee and determine why they may not be performing as expected. Sometimes simply clarifying expectations or setting consequences may result in desired performance. Additional coaching-related topicsAdditional coaching-related topics are available depending on your unique performance management challenges. These additional coaching-related topics include (hold your mouse over each component for its definition):By embedding specific coaching-related topics that are appropriate for your company, Entelechy can make Coaching for Talent Development and Employee Engagement a unique and total leadership development program for your managers and supervisors. Embedding your policies, practices, forms, etc.Entelechy will embed your policies, practices, forms, etc into the training as appropriate to further foster the integration of coaching into your organization.Complete participant and facilitator electronic filesWhile relevance helps make the training engaging, Coaching for Talent Development and Employee Engagement uses a variety of experiential activities to introduce and reinforce concepts. Videos and fishbowl demonstrations allow participants to see and experience concepts in action. Role-plays — we call them "real-plays" because we use scenarios from the participants' real jobs - provide opportunities for participants to practice skills and receive feedback; role-plays build skill and confidence. Participant materials provide preparation and reinforcement before, during and after the training. The participant materials include:Participant Files:Prior to the training, Entelechy provides participants with a precourse, a self-paced learning component that helps prepare participants for the training. Participants will 1) preview key information, and 2) complete a performance coaching self-assessment to help them identify Personal Breakthrough Opportunities (real situations the participant is currently facing on the job) for use in the training to practice and refine skills.
Each participant receives a Participant
Guide to aid the learning process. The purpose of this guide is to help participants
learn the material in class. While the Participant Guide can serve as a post-training
reference, we recognize that most managers and supervisors will not use it for
reference. Therefore, in addition to the Participant Guide, we also provide Job
Aids.
Each participant receives Job Aids that reinforce important concepts in a concise, easy-to-read format. These Job Aids are typically provided in a size that fits most time management systems such as DayRunner but they can be customized depending on your needs.
Skills that are learned are only effective if they are applied. Participants receive a booklet that contains the key learning points and space for the participant to map out his or her action on the job for that topic or skill. For example, as a result of our in-class discussion of performance gaps, participants identify the gaps in employees AND PLAN WHEN TO TALK TO THEM about that gap. Each participant creates a MAP to help him or her apply newly-learned skills on the job. The MAP is completed in training and serves as the bridge to on-the-job application. (See the graphic on the right for an example.)
Facilitator Files:You receive PowerPoint slide presentations for each module to act as an instructional vehicle for conveying key points. The slides are simple and professional in appearance. Graphical elements from the slides are often used in the Participant Guide to help participants stay on track with the instruction.
Entelechy creates a comprehensive facilitator guide that provides the detail and background necessary for instructors to deliver a quality program consistently from delivery to deliver and from instructor to instructor. This feature also allows you to easily distribute delivery responsibility as you see fit. Some of the features of the facilitator guide include:
